Congratulation! You are a mom now. Being a new mom feels
like “Round the Clock Job”. Adjusting to new motherhood can be challenging,
though it brings happiness and surprises along with sleepless nights and
changes in your regular life.
1. Struggling with Breastfeeding:
Most of the time new moms feel intense pressure from their
family, friends, and doctors to nurse their newborn properly and recommend
breastfeeding for the benefits it offers both mother and newborn. Many medical
community strongly encourage moms to keep the breastfeeding for minimum 1 year.
For the first few weeks it’s really hard to do perfect breastfeeding, it takes
practice and patience to get it right.
If you think your breastfeeding isn’t going well and get
some help from your local consultant or another mom for expert advice and
hand-on training.
2. Partner Conflict:
The demands of the new member to the family can negatively
impact on the relationship between mom and dad. If there is no agreement like
how to share the workload then one parent may feel he/she is carrying the
complete weight of taking care of the newborn. This situation can sometimes
lead to tensions and arguments in the relationship.
3. Change in Daily Routine:
The newborn needs more attention and care. Your life may
become a never-ending cycle of feeding, putting him to sleep and changing
diapers. In addition, you need to wash your baby cloths, keeping bottles sanitized,
buying baby supplies. Here time swiftly passes by without the achievement of
other family gals. So being a new mom you have to accept it and keep going with
patience.
4. You Feel Fat:
As a new mom, you will be bombarded by images of celebrity
moms, it can take time for your body to see like our own again. It’s very rare
case to find new moms who lose their weigh right away. Generally it takes at
least a year to get back to the pre-pregnancy size. Though it’s good to have
some exercise into your daily schedule when you can but try not to hyper-focus
here.
5.
